The International Baccalaureate® (IB) Diploma Programme (DP) is an assessed programme for students aged 16 to 19. It is respected by leading universities across the globe. The curriculum is made up of the DP core and six subject groups. Made up of the three required components, the DP core aims to broaden students’ educational experience and challenge them to apply their knowledge and skills. The three core elements are:
- Theory of knowledge, in which students reflect on the nature of knowledge and on how we know what we claim to know.
- The extended essay, which is an independent, self-directed piece of research, finishing with a 4,000-word paper.
- Creativity, activity, service (CAS) in which students complete a project related to these three concepts.

- The arts
The IB Diploma has been recognised by the AIU (Association of Indian Universities) as an entry qualification to all universities in India since 1983 and renewed in 2010. According to AIU: “The International Baccalaureate Diploma has been equated with +2 stage (Grade 12) qualification of an Indian Board since 1983. Upon release of their results, DP students can apply for an equivalence certificate from AIU or apply directly to the eligibility department of the university they wish to attend.

Our students showcased a 100% pass percentage and 81% average in CBSE Grade 12 exams 2019-20. Flipped classroom strategies have been implemented at Oakridge and achievement by reversing the traditional model of a classroom to enhance student-centered learning and achievement across various grades.
